One Of These iPads Is Real. Can You Tell Which One?

We all laughed at those fake Apple Stores in China. The tell-tale signs of inauthenticity were obvious, but how did they make those stores look so good? Well, according to just-leaked Wikileaks documents, Apple is actually battling a fairly serious counterfeiting issue in China - and frankly, losing. In fact, a substantial Chinese economy revolves around cloned, discounted consumer electronics products, with only limited crackdown from government authorities.

But it gets even more complicated, because Apple is actually creating part of this mess through outsourced production. That's because sweatshopped workers are often baited to steal production secrets, and share them with cloning operations according to leaked memos. Which sort of sounds like karma in motion, especially given reports of depressing, unsafe, and demoralizing conditions at various Apple plants.
